Mr. Glenn has been a senior executive with firms specializing in advanced energy-related technologies with over 30 years experience in this business. He was the responsible corporate executive for technology R&D marketing, product development and commercialization efforts for a new fuel cell power plant product line and advanced battery systems. Mr. Glenn interacts with Cabinet agencies involved in energy-related programs, the Congress, gas and electric utilities, and private sector research sponsors. He is widely published and a frequent speaker at executive conferences. His prior positions in program management emphasized application of systems engineering and value engineering disciplines to Aerospace systems and numerous non-defense technologies. Specific contributions include:
Marketing to Federal agencies and the private sector, and concomitant legislative initiatives.

Defining and implementing product development and related commercialization strategies.

Frequent appearances before Congress on energy technology R&D priorities

Directed a $50 million program to design, construct and test the first U.S. megawatt-class advanced fuel cell demonstration unit; the demonstration was successful.

Responsibility for defining fuel cell plant market entry positioning in light of recent utility deregulation and restructuring actions.

Developed and marketed technology R&D programs spanning widely diversified energy-related fields including industrial energy conservation, electrochemical (battery and fuel cell) systems, energy storage, solar thermal energy and techno-economic systems studies.

Organized and chaired peer review panels representing private sector interests, to provide the Department of Energy with critiques and suggested directions on energy storage technology programs and budgets.
- Conducting studies on various conservation and renewable technologies including thermal energy storage, solar-thermal energy systems, biomass energy systems and their transition from R&D to the marketplace.
